Augmentation Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure by means of which the shape of the nose is increased. Severe cases are commonly referred to as saddle nose.

Common causes of saddle nose deformity:

  • Traumas in professional boxers
  • Genetics
  • A failed previous surgery
  • Other causes: drug abuse, diseases, etc.
  • Depending on the severity of the case, augmentation can performed with:

  • Use of the septal cartilage from the own patient
  • Use of ear cartilage graft from the own patient
  • Rib Cartilage (severe cases)
  • Fillers (for example: metal metacril) for minor imperfections. This procedure is also known as non-surgical rhinoplasty.
